Ft. Lauderdale in Florida was our first Honeymoon destination. Unfortunately, during this time, Hurricane Georges was ravaging Florida and the surrounding area. When we arrived in our first hotel by the ocean, our windows and balcony were boarded up, and we were transferred to another hotel, closer inland, for our safety. Most of the buildings were boarded up, and we were mostly confined to our room. Fortunately, we discovered Mai Kai, a very popular authentic Polynesian Restaurant and Review. This was the restaurant were Johnny Carson and other famous celebs used to perform in the old days. We had the best seafood and we totally enjoyed the Polynesian Dancers.
