We met a wide arrangement of people during our stay in Egypt. We observed the people going about their daily life, while a few, mostly shop owners selling to tourists, can be very persistent in selling you their goods, but this is often encountered in other countries where people depend on tourism for their livelihood. Other than this drawbacks, the Egyptian people are one of the most hospitable people any traveler can ever meet, and if you respect their customs, they will open up their hearts and home to you. It was customary to pay locals and have their pictures taken. |
