Australia

In August & September of 2000, Daphne and I flew halfway around the world to visit Sydney, Australia. The Aussies, as they are affectionately known, are among the friendliest and most outgoing people. The following are some pictures from our visit...including the HMAS Bounty. This was the boat used for the film "The Bounty" starring Mel Gibson & Anthony Hopkins, and where we took a very unique cruise around the surrounding harbor. Also, we visited the Olympic Park in Homebush Bay, the week before the 2000 Olympics were held in Sydney...the picture of the Olympic stadium was taken from the Observatory deck. And of course, no visit of Australia is complete without a visit to the Sydney Opera House, and pictures taken of Koalas and Kangaroos as souvenirs. (Click on pictures to enlarge)
