D aphne and I both live in the city of Chicago, otherwise known as the Windy City, in America. If you live outside the U.S., you might know the city as home to Al Capone and the Sears Tower, which used to be the tallest building in the world. Chicago is a very cosmopolitan city compromising of millions of people from different ethnic backgrounds and cultures. This diversity of culture and people is why we love to call Chicago home. In fact, Daphne and I come from different ethnic backgrounds; Daphne is of East Indian descent and I am of Filipino descent.

Daphne was born in the United States. Her parents, James and Leela Selvaraj, came to the U.S. from Tamil Nadu, India. Daphne is the only child; I on the other hand, was born in Lucena city, Philippines. I came to the U.S. with my parents, Larry and Cres Reyes, and my sister, Haidee.

It was in Chicago that Daphne and I met while attending Loyola University, and after a year and a half, were engaged, and married 2 years later. Our wedding ceremony took place on September 20th, 1998 in a Catholic ceremony incorporating both Indian and Filipino traditions. All of our friends and family, either stood up in our wedding or attended the ceremony. It was for Daphne and me the happiest day of our lives.

We first celebrated our honeymoon in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We came at a bad time because it was the time when Hurricane Georges was menacing southern Florida. When we arrived at our Honeymoon suite, the balcony and windows were all boarded up. After Florida, Daphne and I took a cruise to Freeport, Bahamas. It was a very bumpy and nauseating ride since Hurricane Georges was just clearing up. In Freeport, we relaxed under the sun, met allot of local people, and explored what the island had to offer. Afterwards, we arrived at Disney World for our final Honeymoon destination.

It was through our travels together during our Honeymoon that Daphne and I got bitten by the Travel Bug, and decided that we should travel to as many countries as possible, and share our experiences with others. It is for this reason we set up this Travel Home Page. Like you, we looked at other peoples' Travel Pages on the Internet to get a feel for the sights they saw. By viewing their home pictures, we became enthused about visiting the countries ourselves, and experiencing the people, cultures, and cuisine. We hope these pictures will entice you to visit these countries, and experience for yourselves the richness and beauty of our diverse world.
